On multiple occasions she has managed community perception and even swung some complainants to be strong supporters of CORDE.

Timaru Arboriculture Team. A growing team, giving back to the community and client. Where possible they use the mulch from street trees to mulch gardens and many other areas to improve tree health and drop off to community businesses or members of the public. This team have had many letters of thanks from the public for their work throughout Timaru.

Leading one of the LMP’s, Perez is strong on traffic management, health and safety and doing the right thing. This is crucial as the LMP’s work remotely and somewhat autonomously often in high risk areas.

Shane’s ability to deliver under pressure week after week is unmatched, and his efforts have most certainly grown CORDE’s reputation. He initiated and led the development of CORDE’s Capability Statement, secured CORDE’s position on no fewer than 10 panels over the last 12 months. Pricing productivity has increased by 3-4 times under his watch compared to previous years. He is a mentor, role model and leader who upholds CORDE’s values and deserves to be recognised. He has also been active outside of work duties taking part in events such as our City Clean Up, the Christchurch Marathon, as well as organising and entering a CORDE Team in the Loburn 68 road relay. Shane has also put through 4 Collective Impact ideas this year.

New to CORDE as a mower operator. Clinton’s first week with his mower he took it home and detailed it, almost to the point where it looked brand new. Everyday seen to be cleaning his mower, always best presented in the shed at the end of the day.

Nigel takes great ownership in the maintenance grading in the Waimak and looks after a very expensive plant item (his grader) very well. Nigel is very conscious of his fuel usage and on average is 3 litres/hr to 5 litres/hr more efficient than other maintenance graders (say between 120l/hr to 200l/hr pw difference). Well done Nigel!

Mickey is always seeking new solutions to issues which arise. He has championed the use of 3D printing of componentry within the Pines WWTP to replace expensive wearing parts only available from Europe with long lead times. Mickey has also designed and manufactured specialist 3D printed tools for use within the plant.

Emma works part time, however her outputs well exceed expectation. Pressure in the tender team has seen submissions requiring non-price attributes double and triple compared to the previous 12 months. Her work has helped secure pre-qualification onto no less than 10 panels. She has achieved this while juggling the responsibilities of being a mum to two young boys. Tender deadlines often require Emma to juggle the demands of home and work to ensure CORDE can be successful at the tender box.
